So: three adults-only cabins to choose from, on thirty-six acres of Tasmanian bushland at Glen Huon, forty-five minutes southwest of Hobart. A deep stone bath. A fire you light yourself. A bed you can stay in past nine without anyone needing you for anything.

Why Hunter
Nothing to watch, but there's plenty to look at.
There's no wifi and no television at Hunter. In three years of reviews, almost nobody mentions it. What they write about instead is the mist coming off the river at breakfast, the light going gold over the hills at six, the black cockatoos, the rain on the skylight above the bed. It turns out that's plenty to watch.

Yes. Mobile reception works throughout the property. There's no wifi and no television by design, but you can still make a call, check in on someone, or order a taxi.
The driveway is unsealed but well maintained, and a standard two-wheel-drive car handles it comfortably in all conditions. Take it slowly, watch for wildlife at dusk, and we'll send full arrival directions with your booking confirmation.
There's no minimum stay currently. One night or several, whatever suits.
Yes. All three cabins are adults only, and each sleeps two — or one, if you'd rather have the place to yourself.
Everything for the night is here: Cultiver linen, towels, robes, Tasmanian bathroom products, a kitchenette with a cooktop and dishwasher, coffee, and a private wine collection. Bring food for the meals you want to cook, or add dinner provisions when you book.
