So: three adults-only cabins to choose from, on thirty-six acres of Tasmanian bushland at Glen Huon, forty-five minutes southwest of Hobart. A deep stone bath. A fire you light yourself. A bed you can stay in past nine without anyone needing you for anything.
No wifi, no television, and no plan for the day unless you decide to make one.

Why Hunter
Nothing to watch, but there's plenty to look at.
There's no wifi and no television at Hunter. In three years of reviews, almost nobody mentions it. What they write about instead is the mist coming off the river at breakfast, the light going gold over the hills at six, the black cockatoos, the rain on the skylight above the bed. It turns out that's plenty to watch.

A few common questions
At Hunter Huon Valley, we encourage guests to switch off and disconnect during their stay. That's why you won't find televisions or Wi-Fi in our cabins, giving you the space to step away from screens, slow down and reconnect with your surroundings.
Mobile coverage may be available on the property, depending on your mobile provider and location within the property.
Hunter Huon Valley is located along a council dirt road. The entrance to Hunter Huon Valley is via a sealed driveway leading towards the cabins which is suitable for two wheel drives, four wheel drives and standard rental cars.
Due to the steep gradient of the driveway, access can be challenging for larger vehicles such as motorhomes and RVs. If you are travelling in a larger vehicle or have any concerns about access, please contact us prior to your stay so we can discuss your vehicle access requirements.
Space is limited and we can’t accommodate all accessibility requirements, including some wheelchair access needs. Ramps to cabin entrances can be arranged on request prior to arrival.
There's no minimum stay currently. One night or several, whatever suits.
Yes. All three cabins are adults only, and each sleeps two — or one, if you'd rather have the place to yourself.
Everything for the night is here: Cultiver linen, towels, robes, Tasmanian bathroom products, a kitchenette with a cooktop and dishwasher, coffee, and a private wine collection. Bring food for the meals you want to cook, or add dinner provisions when you book.
